December 14, 2009 | Leave a comment Have just got another report from last week. Children out with a local councillor, planting Christmas trees in a nature reserve in Yorkshire when the hound pack in full cry chase a fox across the car park and into the reserve, watched by the horrified children. Another accidental fox hunt – statistically frequent it seems amongst hunts that are not fox hunting. Got this report after going out to film the hunt that repeatedly invades someone’s land…. this person told us that after the hunt has been through the area is like a graveyard, the wild animals have all gone and take a long time to filter back. They also told us they walked in on a ‘blooding’ in a local pub about ten years ago – that is a freshly cut off fox’s tail being smeared across the face of a teenage participant at the kill. England’s green and pleasant land?
