It was a quiet and distress-free filmshoot at the housing estate, meeting really pleasant and civilised people who showed us where the hounds had run… also commenting that some of the press reports were inaccurate as there was no mother with pram. Two things stay in my mind. One, that this incident only got significant mainstream press coverage because a householder had the presence of mind to take good pictures. The second thing that stays in my mind, following on from that, is that the fox was only thirty seconds ahead of the hounds. What if there had not been a hole in the six foot fence? Would the newspapers have printed the pictures then?
